What are this servers rules for Water Rights?

For example, my base is a reasonably long distance from a river. I had to build a long distance from the river to avoid preventing other bases from some day in the distant future deciding to expand the size of their base. Now since I need water, I have to run my water pipes over their land or their future land. Can I do this without getting a strike against me? What are my water rights?

Use water tanks. They generate water over time

There are MANY locations near water sources (rivers and lakes) that are available for building a base. Especially in the blue zone. In fact, most of the map near water sources are available, except a very small few locations that already have tribe bases.

You could also craft and use a bunch of water tanks (metal recommended) as they will gradually collect water over time as well. There's no rain in Ab, but the cave is full of moisture.
